I like the way it sounds
like a splash of bells,
and a giant stumbling heart,
and the prayerful name
of the saint of vagrants.
And I like what it means,
something added –
Sorry, or Love you,
or tomorrow.

Howie Good, a journalism professor at the State University of New York at New Paltz, is the author of the full-length book of poetry, Lovesick (2009). His second full-length collection, Heart With a Dirty Windshield, will be published by BeWrite Books.
