I began to grow nervous when it didn’t kick. “Psst,” I whispered, hand on my swelling belly. “You there?”

I tried everything, but no movement shook my little one from it’s prenatal slumber.
“Must be bored,” husband joked.

We readied ourselves for the first ultrasound. “Ma’am?” I heard the nurse whisper, before blacking out.
