The Autobiography of Nancy Drew

Tell the school your Aunt Carolyn writes
The Nancy Drew books about you & watch
Teachers argue mid-cigarette break over
Who is lying better: you or your parents
It was my grandma who told the best lies
That the 4th of July fireworks were for her
And that diet tonic tastes the same as
A Willie Nelson concert she snuck you into
She got out of show & tell when her mom
Passed away I was so upset I skipped too
Who doesn’t want to show off a woman
Who tickles the cadavers in the morgue
Across the hall from her office lunchroom
Just to see who around here is really dead
