The white bear startles the fisherman. Bits of ice floe remain on shore. She drifted south to his village. He feeds her fish and candy.

  1. I’m reminded of a photo I saw of an Alaskan bear sitting beside a man fishing their shoulders touching. The pair had long enjoyed this routine, the article claimed. And so, this story to me is a beautiful fiction that also could be so.
