that is some goddam rabbit insolent eating carrots I’ll never stew up
much too early the bees in my head stinging and jumped out of bed
“don’t do that again!” “dammit you almost killed me!” “baby does it
hurt?” then I get into my shoes and otherwise stark naked run out to
the cemetery and climb the hill till I get to the place where I am just
another american boy taking it all for granted standing on the graves

 

satnrose is a well-known antiquarian bookseller. He has been published in a number of magazines in the past, but since his reincarnation as ‘satnrose’ last year, he has been published in Evergreen Review, The Iconoclast, Counterexample Poetics,  Danse Macabre, Apparatus, Mad Swirl, and has poems forthcoming in Stray Branch.
