Welcome to The Citron Review!
As several submitters have already discovered, we’re a little behind schedule. We apologize for the delay in putting up new content, but I assure you, the wait will be well worth it. We’ve been rather busy over the last few months. In that time, we’ve restructured many things here at TCR. Most notably, we’ve brought on two new editors to help with the work load. You can read about Erica Moody’s and Lee Stoop’s multiple professional accomplishments and accolades on the “About the Editors” page. Their contributions to TCR in the short time they’ve been with us have been immeasurable. Already, they’ve jumped in and helped to develop an improved Internet presence in social media. If you haven’t liked our Facebook page yet, what are you waiting for? This is a great avenue to keep up with the exciting things going on here at TCR,
Additionally, due to the immense volume of submissions (yes, immense!), we’ve been forced to re-evaluate our strategies for publication. The good news is, in March, we’ll have a new issue up, and we’ll have a new issue beyond that every quarter. We’ve adopted a new structure to handle the influx of submissions, and have therefore changed our submission guidelines. You may find the new guidelines on our “Submission Guidelines” page.
Lastly, we want to thank our submitters and readers alike, for helping to make TCR what it is today. In the short time we’ve been around, we’ve developed a reputation as a publisher of the highest-quality fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. We’ve had the honor to publish several well-respected writers and poets, as well as showcase many new writers and poets (something we take a special pride in). TCR is one of the few places you’ll find big-name writers alongside fledgling writers. Our reputation begins with you, and for that, we thank you again.
If you’re waiting to hear from us on the status of your submission, you should hear soon. In the meantime, thank you for your patience. And until then,
